This ground is set in the Gloucestershire village of Eastington. Eastington is fortunate enough to have the use of a superb eight acre area of sports and playing fields. In 1989, The Owen Harris Site, was bequest to the people of Eastington by Mrs Shirley Harris, in memory of her husband and local farmer, Mr Owen Harris. The land was to be used 'for the benefit of the residents of Eastington, for social and recreational use.' Surrounded by stunning views, the grounds are available to everyone within the locality for social and community activities.

Such activities range from the Alkerton Rangers Football Club, Eastington Cricket Club, Eastington Playgroup and various clubs and events for the youngsters of Eastington and its surrounding villages. Set in eight acres of ground, this superb site boasts a full size football pitch and exceptionally well presented cricket pitch. Both are currently in use by the Alkerton Rangers Football Club and Eastington Cricket club. The area also has the benefit of a small play area for younger children to come along to and 'let off steam'.

Brief summary of the hall

Situated in an 8 acre sports field, the brand new Centre was completed in 2009 and has been built to high specification environmental standards. The views from the Centre across the sports field are superb. Marquee also available for hire. Easily accessible from the M5 J13 with ample parking.

Meeting room hire is for the use of the Eastington Community Centre - use of the surrounding field and sports field cannot always be guaranteed.

Directions

Enter Eastington from the A38, drive over the motorway bridge. Past Smith Haulage co. on your left, the entrance to Snakey Lane is a little further down on the right. Alternatively, enter the village from the A419, drive up through Eastington and turn right at the Kings Head roundabout, the entrance to Snakey Lane is past the small green on your left.

Booking charges

Main Hall - £12 per hour. Rising to £15 per hour after 6pm on Fridays and Saturday evenings.

Large meeting room - £8 per hour.

Small meeting room - £6 per hour.

Bar charge - £10 per hour.

Separate charging scales apply on Christmas eve and New Years eve.

This is a brand new building with very high specification insulation. Solar and photovoltaic panels have been installed and display panels in the entrance hall show how much energy is being produced. We have an environmental policy and encourage hirers to recycle their own waste where possible.
