Inflation... when you run a bouncy castle company this is always going to be a key ingredient...however this is the kind of inflation we don't like passing on to our customers!
At Megabounce, we take pride in delivering exemplary service in what has been a very challenging six months since the re-opening. During this period it has been well documented within the media the inflationary pressures that are effecting our ability to continue delivering this high level of service:-
- Shortages within the labour market especially drivers, increasing salary costs by 15% to 20%
- Cost of fuel increasing by 17% from the start of the year
- National Minimum Wage increasing by 6.6% and increased National Insurance contributions from next year.
- Inflation currently running at 4.2%
We have done our utmost to mitigate these increases and have delayed passing these on during the busiest trading period, unlike our competitors.
However it is no longer sustainable for us to continue to fully absorb these increases and we have taken the very difficult decision to apply a delivery charge. The fairest way we thought would be is charge per mile from our base at a cost of 60p a mile as we do the trip four times per booking. This would mean we share the ever growing costs with you our customers but at the same time helps us provide the great service. We would like to thank all our customers for there support.
